NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday said no additional directions were required to be added to its February 22 directive to chief secretaries, DGPs and nodal officers in each state to protect Kashmiris, including students, in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack on February 14.
Attorney general K K Venugopal told a bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices L N Rao and Sanjiv Khanna that since the court’s February 22 order, there had been no untoward incident involving Kashmiris in any part of the country.
The bench said, “We take on record the statement made by the attorney general that after the court had intervened on February 22, no incident sequel to the Pulwama terrorist attack has occurred in the country.
